Sacred Lines. Venerated Circles. is a poetic narrative that opens up space for trans and gender queer people (focusing on people assigned female at birth) to talk about their spiritual lives and experiences. The work investigates the connectivity of trans bodies and spiritual natures. It lingers on the idea of gender queer and trans embodiment as theology and as a point of sacred connection. The film looks through the unsettled circles of identity to a place of divine communion.

I am hoping to continue this work. I am currently seeking funding for the equipment and software to move forward. This first film was looking  at folks assigned female at birth, but I hope to include more and more spiritual and queer identities in this work.  Ideally I would like to bring this into spiritual and activist spaces to foster discussions about where queer identity and spirituality intersect and impact those spaces.

The clip below is a 2 minute trailer for the full 10 minute film.
