Rae Strozzo

I am a transmasculine artist, writer and educator. I identify as an assigned female at birth, non-binary, transmasculine person whose sexuality and gender expression is queer.  I prefer masculine or they/them pronouns.  I am a second generation white Italian and identify culturally as a white southerner.

Professionally I am an artist and a teacher.  I received my MFA from the University of Arizona in 2008.  I have taught photography, art, art history, social justice issues and intersectionality in both academic and community settings. I am graduating from the Pacific School of Religion in May 2017 with a Masters in Social Transformation.

I have spent a great deal of time seeking a spiritual path that truly began with accepting y queer identity and journey in my late teens and studying religion and philosophy in my undergraduate studies. This seeking opened further when I joined the Recovery community in Tucson. I have been on the path of Shambhala Buddhism for the last two years.

My aspiration is to bring spiritually, art, and teaching together to support others in doing activism and direct services work.
